Kerry Auriat

Kerry is Brandon-born and raised. He has worked in the investment industry for over 20 years, the last 18 as a full-service Investment Advisor and serves as a Vice President with Wellington West Capital Inc. since 2006, National Bank Financial since November 2011. National Bank acquired Wellington West Inc. in July 2011. During that time, he has continually emphasized a conservative investment strategy aimed at helping to create wealth in the long-term for his clients, while seeking lower risk. 

Kerry attended Vincent Massey High School in Brandon. He graduated in 1984. In 1987, he graduated from Brandon University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 2003, Kerry completed his Masterof Business Administration degree. He has also successfully completed the necessary industry courses, which has also enhanced his knowledge of capital markets and investing. These courses include the Canadian Securities Course; the Registered Representative Course; the Branch Manager's Examination Course; and the Partners, Directors and Senior Officer's Course. 

In addition to his work with National Bank Financial, Kerry has also taught Business Administration classes at Brandon University; wrote articles as a contributing editor for Canadian Money Saver Magazine; and continues to serve as an op/ed columnist for the Brandon Sun. 

Kerry's family consists of his wife, Rhonda, a property manager with RDK Properties in Brandon (she's the "R"); their 16-year old daughter Olivia; and their dogs Daisy and Fergie. 

In their spare time, the Auriats enjoy traveling, reading and sports. Kerry and Rhonda are active in their community and have served as volunteers for organizations including the Brandon Family YMCA, the Brandon University Foundation, Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba, the Brandon Toy Lending Library, Crime Stoppers, the Riverbank Discovery Centre and the Brandon Chamber of Commerce.
