1984: Graduate, Bachelor of Commerce, McMaster University
1984: Successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course (Honours)
1984 -91: Advisor, Manager and Partner of a large Bay Street firm
1992: Joined AIC/Berkshire Securities as Branch Manager and Senior Advisor
1994: Obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
1996: Became a shareholder of Berkshire Securities and the AIC Group of Funds
1992-2008:  Contributing Editor to Canadian MoneySaver, Canada’s largest circulation investment magazine
2002: Member of the Hamilton Spectator’s Business Advisory Board
1994-2008: Member of the CFA Institute and the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts
2003: Obtained the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) designation
2006: Joined Assante Capital Management Ltd. as Branch Manager and Co-Owner


My Mission Statement
My goal is to cultivate and maintain a long-term relationship with individuals and
- to deliver to them professional, ethical, honest and competent investment advice, personal financial planning and retirement planning services;
- to educate and guide clients to investments that meet their unique needs for   growth, income and tax reduction;
- to create and preserve permanent wealth over time by owning portfolios of superior worldwide businesses held for the long term.
- to invest clients’ money using a value and growth oriented, buy-and-hold investment strategy as practised by Warren Buffett and  John Templeton to maximize investment returns (and defer taxation) over the long run by purchasing good businesses in growth industries run by competent owner-oriented management and to ignore short-term fluctuations in the stock market.
